Please read carefully before your stay. These rules ensure a comfortable, respectful experience for all guests.

Welcome to Quiet Corners of Australia. This is a shared accommodation property. Guests occupy private furnished bedrooms and share the kitchen, lounge, bathrooms, and outdoor areas. Your cooperation with these house rules ensures a peaceful, safe, and enjoyable stay for everyone.

Respect for Other Guests

  • Treat all guests and the host with courtesy and respect at all times.
  • Be mindful of noise levels, especially in shared spaces — kitchen, lounge, bathrooms, and hallways.
  • Do not enter another guest's bedroom without invitation.
  • Shared spaces should be left clean and tidy after use.
  • Disputes between guests must be resolved respectfully. Contact the host if assistance is needed.
  • Racial, religious, or personal harassment of any kind will result in immediate termination of stay without refund.

Pet Rules

  • Pets are NOT permitted inside the house at any time.
  • Guest pets may only be accommodated by prior written arrangement with the host.
  • The property has 3 resident outdoor dogs — guest pets must be compatible and introduced carefully.
  • Approved guest pets are restricted to designated outside areas only.
  • Pet owners are fully responsible for their animal's behaviour and any damage caused.
  • A pet fee applies to all stays involving guest pets.
  • Any pet found inside the house will result in immediate termination of stay.
Bringing a pet without prior approval is a breach of house rules and grounds for immediate eviction.

Events & Gatherings

  • No parties, events, or large gatherings are permitted on the property.
  • Guests may have one visitor at a time, with prior approval from the host.
  • Visitors must not stay overnight unless booked and paid as an additional guest.
  • The maximum occupancy for each room must not be exceeded at any time.
Unapproved gatherings will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of any remaining stay amount.

Smoking & Vaping

  • Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the house and on all covered outdoor areas.
  • Smoking is permitted only in the designated outdoor open-air areas, well away from windows and doors.
  • Cigarette butts must be disposed of in the receptacles provided — never on the ground or in gardens.
  • Any evidence of indoor smoking will incur a deep-cleaning fee charged to the guest.

Quiet Hours

  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM — 7:00 AM daily.
  • During quiet hours: no loud music, TV, phone calls, or disruptive noise inside or outside the house.
  • Use headphones when watching content late at night.
  • Guests arriving or departing late must do so quietly.
  • Outside of quiet hours, reasonable noise is acceptable — please remain considerate of others.
Healthcare workers and shift workers are common guests. Please be especially mindful of those sleeping during the day.

Photography & Filming

  • Do not photograph or film other guests without their explicit consent.
  • Photography of the property for personal or social media use is permitted.
  • Commercial photography or filming requires written permission from the host.
  • Do not share images or content that identify other guests without their consent.

Room Occupancy

  • Single Room: Maximum 1 guest. No exceptions.
  • Double Room A: Maximum 2 guests (queen bed).
  • Double Room B: Maximum 2 guests (queen bed).
  • Only the registered guest(s) may sleep in the booked room.
  • Guests must not move furniture between rooms or rearrange shared spaces.
  • Each guest is responsible for keeping their private room clean and tidy.

Bathroom & Toilet Use

  • Bathrooms are shared between all guests — please be considerate of waiting times.
  • Leave the bathroom clean after every use. Wipe down surfaces, hang towels, and remove personal items.
  • Only flush toilet paper — no wet wipes, sanitary products, or other items.
  • Report any plumbing issues or blockages to the host immediately.
  • Shower time should be kept reasonable during peak morning periods.
  • Long hair: please use a drain catcher and remove hair after showering.

Water Use

  • The property uses tank water — please be conservative with water use.
  • Do not leave taps running unnecessarily.
  • Report any leaks or dripping taps to the host promptly.
  • Water usage is included in your stay — please don't waste it.
Woodchester is a rural area. Tank water conservation is important for the entire property.

Laundry Use

  • Laundry facilities are available for guest use — please check with the host for access.
  • Do not leave laundry in machines overnight or block others from using them.
  • Remove your laundry promptly when finished.
  • Use only the provided or recommended detergent in the correct amounts.
  • Any damage to laundry equipment caused by misuse will be charged to the guest.

TV & Wi-Fi Use

  • Wi-Fi is included in all stays — for personal use only, not commercial or business redistribution.
  • Do not share the Wi-Fi password with non-guests.
  • The shared TV and streaming services (Netflix, Prime Video, SBS) are for all guests to share.
  • Please do not change or save passwords on shared streaming accounts.
  • Volume on shared TV must respect quiet hours (off or very low after 10:00 PM).
  • Refer to the TV & Wi-Fi House Manual for setup instructions and troubleshooting.

Fault Reporting

  • Report any faults, damage, or maintenance issues to the host as soon as they are noticed.
  • Do not attempt to repair appliances, plumbing, or electrical faults yourself.
  • If something was damaged accidentally, please be honest and notify the host immediately — this is always appreciated and handled fairly.
  • Unreported damage discovered after checkout may be charged to the guest.
  • In case of emergency (fire, gas leak, medical), call 000 first, then contact the host.

Host Contact

  • Your host is Anoop — available via WhatsApp or phone during reasonable hours.
  • For non-urgent matters, WhatsApp is preferred.
  • For urgent issues (safety, security, emergency maintenance), call directly on 0402 745 853.
  • The host aims to respond to all messages within a few hours.
  • Please do not contact the host for issues that can wait until the next day, outside of quiet hours.
